What we're looking for?

We're seeking a passionate and skilled QA Automation Engineer with a strong focus on Java and Selenium to join our growing team. What you’ll be doing ?
As a QA Automation Engineer at Talentica, you will:

• Collaborate closely with the development team to plan and strategize the testing process, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products.
• Engage with senior engineers, customers, and product managers to deeply understand requirements from both a business and end-user perspective, testing the product accordingly and verifying that all acceptance criteria are met.
• Provide clear and comprehensive visibility into product quality, including potential risks and mitigation plans, to all relevant stakeholders.
• Thoroughly validate product functionality through both manual and automated testing, strategically adding automation tests to the regression suite as the application evolves and scales.
• Proactively explore and evaluate new testing tools and frameworks, recommending the best solutions to address business challenges and improve our testing capabilities.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Qualification: A bachelor's degree in engineering (any stream) from IIT, NIT, BITS, VJTI, any government college in India, or other top-tier colleges in India.
• Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant experience.

Tech Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven experience in testing web-based applications, including strong skills in Test Planning and Test Strategy development.
• Solid hands-on experience with API testing.
• Good hands-on experience using Selenium Automation Framework with JAVA.
• A strong understanding of test coverage (both functional and non-functional) and the ability to perform risk forecasting.
• Good working knowledge of databases (SQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Familiarity with Unix Shell Scripting, build deployment processes, and continuous integration (CI) is a strong plus.
• Proven experience with any test management, defect tracking, and configuration management tools.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exposure to cloud environments is a plus.
• A balanced mix of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing methodologies.
