MLOps Framework for Generative Video Automation

We built an end-to-end MLOps framework for generative video automation, enabling scalable creation of video clips by transferring head poses and facial expressions from existing clips. By combining deep-learning pose–transfer models with production grade MLOps practice, we enabled the system to deliver consistent, high-quality video outputs in a fully automated pipeline.  

One of our customers in the business communication space needed to efficiently generate new video variations from existing footage, but their workflow relied heavily on manual editing. This made the process slow, expensive, and difficult to scale. They recognized the need for an automated solution that could streamline model development, ensure output quality, and support reliable deployment in production. 

To meet their requirements, we developed a generative video system using deep-learning-based pose-transfer models, enhanced with classical computer-vision techniques to improve stability and temporal consistency. This ensured that the generated clips look natural and preserved the intended expression and movements.  

For production readiness, we built a complete MLOps framework around the model, which included:  

Pipeline orchestration 

• Orchestrated video frame processing and multi-GPU training using Airflow, ensuring a reliable and automated workflow from data preparation to model training. 

Experiment tracking and versioning  

• Managed model and code versioning along with test datasets tracking with MLflow. 

• Logged all performance metrics to maintain complete reproducibility across the customers’ ML lifecycle.  

Regression monitoring and QA  

• Implemented regression monitoring to detect performance degradation early 

• Added automated checks for adversarial or unnatural poses to ensure consistent output quality.  

Efficiency monitoring  

• Measured GPU cost per frame to help the customer optimize compute efficiency as workloads scaled.  

Safe deployments  

• Used canary release to validate new model versions on a controlled subset before full production rollout, ensuring stable and predictive deployments.

This automated end-to-end solution enabled our customer to: 

• Generate realistic videos directly in production 

• Significantly reduce manual editing efforts  

• Scale content generation efficiently  

• Operate with a fully automated workflow
