Senior Software Engineer — Backend (Go | Node.js)
Design and own backend services that have to stay reliable and fast under massive, unpredictable consumer traffic. As a Senior Software Engineer – Backend at Talentica, you’ll build distributed, microservices-based systems in Go and Node.js, solving engineering challenges such as high availability, asynchronous event-driven architecture, and system design at global scale.
What You'll Own
- Design and implement scalable, distributed backend systems that serve millions of consumers globally.
- Own critical services within a microservices architecture, delivering complex features against timeline, quality, reliability, and performance expectations.
- Optimize backend systems for reliability, scalability, security, and performance.
- Partner with Product Managers, Designers, Architects, QA, and SRE to align engineering delivery with business outcomes.
- Define and promote engineering best practices across software design, code quality, automated testing, CI/CD, and DevOps.
- Contribute across the full SDLC — analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-production support.
- Participate in production monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
What We Need
- 6+ years of backend engineering experience with strong hands-on proficiency in Go and Node.js.
- Strong system-design and architectural experience building scalable, highly available products and services.
- Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.
- Strong understanding of HTTP protocols, API design, relational and NoSQL databases, caching, messaging, and Linux systems.
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments using iterative and incremental development practices.
- Good to have: familiarity with Ruby on Rails, ReactJS, or other modern frameworks (advantageous but not mandatory).
