Our customer empowers multinational brands to team up with their retail partners effectively and securely using a cloud collaboration platform. While they possessed an extensive database repository, the complexity of the data created a barrier for the teams intended to leverage it for digital marketing campaigns. They realized they needed a natural language chat interface that could serve both technical and non-technical users through conversational language. 

Bridging the gap between complex data structures and user-friendly interaction required solving several key issues: 

• Accuracy: Maintaining a high precision rate in query responses to ensure data integrity. 

• Accessibility: Implementing multi-language support for a diverse global workforce. 

• Governance: Preventing AI agents from wandering out of scope or processing irrelevant queries.

The solution was architected using a Dual-Component System Design, featuring an Insight Builder and a Response Engine to act as an intelligent intermediary:  

• Insight Builder: Indexed database schemas and sample queries to create a structured knowledge layer  

• Response Engine: Handled real-time query interpretation, routing, translation, and response generation  

This was supported by: 

• Smart Data Search – Ensured the system stores important database information (like table structures and sample queries) in a way that makes finding relevant data fast and easy. 

• Query Routing – Built a router to let the system automatically decide whether to search the database, pull from existing answers, or handle special cases to respond. 

• Multi-Language Support – Provided support to let users ask questions in their preferred language, and the system translates everything behind the scenes. 

• Analytics Processing – Leveraged OpenAI chat agent to user questions into database queries, retrieves the data, and presents it in an easy-to-understand format. 

• Security – Built-in safeguards with GPT-4o ensured users only see data they’re authorized to access. 

The implementation of the agentic AI system delivered measurable improvements across accuracy, performance, and data governance. 

• Selection of Azure OpenAI ensured enterprise data privacy without compromising on performance.
